Keilan Robinson named to Eagles' 90-man roster

Philadelphia, PA – June 7, 2025 – The Philadelphia Eagles have bolstered their roster by claiming running back and return specialist Keilan Robinson off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars, securing his spot on their 90-man roster as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season.

Robinson, a 25-year-old fifth-round pick (167th overall) in the 2024 NFL Draft, brings a dynamic skill set to Philadelphia. Known for his electrifying speed and versatility, the former Texas Longhorn and Alabama Crimson Tide standout has already shown promise as a special teams contributor. During his brief stint with the Jaguars in 2024, Robinson appeared in six games, primarily on special teams, where he returned two kickoffs for 34 yards. His college career was highlighted by an impressive 24.2 yards per kickoff return average, ranking eighth in Texas program history, and 897 total kickoff return yards, placing him ninth.

The Eagles’ decision to claim Robinson comes as no surprise given his athletic prowess, demonstrated by a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, a 33-inch vertical jump, and a 10-foot-5-inch broad jump. These metrics underscore his potential as a game-changer in the return game, a role Philadelphia aims to strengthen following the departure of key special teams players.

“Keilan is a multi-faceted player who can impact the game in various ways,” an Eagles spokesperson noted. “His speed and instincts make him a valuable addition, particularly on special teams, where he can compete as a kick returner and gunner.”

Robinson’s journey to the NFL has been marked by resilience. After a productive freshman year at Alabama in 2019, where he rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns, he transferred to Texas in 2021. There, he carved out a niche as a special teams standout while contributing as a change-of-pace back, amassing 796 rushing yards and eight touchdowns over three seasons. His 2022 season was particularly notable, earning honorable mention All-Big 12 honors as a return specialist and recognition for his special teams contributions, including a blocked punt returned for a touchdown.

Despite a toe injury that sidelined him for the first 11 games of the 2024 season with Jacksonville, Robinson’s recent performances in practice signaled a full recovery, making him an attractive pickup for the Eagles. To accommodate Robinson on the 90-man roster, Philadelphia waived rookie wide receiver Ife Adeyi.

Farewell to the Booth, Patriots Legend Tom Brady to Return to the Field After the 2025 NFL Season
Farewell to the Booth, Patriots Legend Tom Brady to Return to the Field After the 2025 NFL Season Foxborough, September 2025 – After more than three years of bidding farewell to his professional football career, New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend Tom Brady has stunned fans by confirming his return to the field in 2026. However, this comeback will not be within the NFL, but at a special sporting event held in Saudi Arabia. Brady will participate in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, the inaugural flag football tournament scheduled for March 21, 2026, at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh. This sport is based on American football, but instead of physical tackles, players must pull a flag from the opponent’s waist to stop the play. The event is part of the Riyadh Season, a massive sports, cultural, and entertainment festival organized by Saudi Arabia to solidify its global presence. Alongside Brady, a host of other football stars will join, including Saquon Barkley (Eagles), Christian McCaffrey (49ers), CeeDee Lamb (Cowboys), and his longtime close teammate Rob Gronkowski. The teams will be led by renowned coaches, including Pete Carroll, Sean Payton, and Kyle Shanahan. The game will be broadcast live globally by FOX Sports and the Tubi platform. Though no longer donning a Patriots or any NFL team’s jersey, this return carries significant meaning for fans. It marks the first time Tom Brady will compete since announcing his retirement in February 2023. Many experts believe this event is not only a symbolic comeback for the “GOAT” but also a platform to promote flag football ahead of its inclusion in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Tom Brady, at age 49 when the game takes place, once again proves his limitless appeal in the world of sports. Even after stepping away from the NFL, the name Brady is enough to turn any event into a global focal point.
